1 fantastic adj. 奇异的；了不起的；极好的
[观察] She has a fantastic idea that her dead brother is alive.
她有一个奇异的想法：她去世的哥哥仍然活着。
We watched a fantastic play yesterday evening.
昨天晚上我们看了一场精彩的演出。
[探究] fantastic指凭空想象出来的，使人感到奇怪而不能相信，强调妄想、失去理智；在口语中也可译为“极大的，异乎寻常的，极好的，极出色的，了不起的”。
2 as…as 和……一样……
[观察] She is as tall as me. 她和我一样高。
She doesn't draw as well as her brother.
她画得不如她哥哥好。
[探究] as…as 意为“和……一样……”，表示比较，两个as之间用________词或________词的________级。其否定形式为not as…as或not so…as，意为“不如……，不像……”，表示前者不如后者。
3 cut down 砍倒；缩减
[观察] This article is too long. You have to cut it down.
这篇文章太长，你得把它缩减一下。
We are busy cutting trees down.
＝We are busy cutting down trees. 我们正忙于砍树。
[探究] cut down为动副结构短语，________词作其宾语时，必须放在cut 和down之间；________词作其宾语时，放在down的前后均可。

[探究] (1)have been drawing为现在完成进行时，结构为“have/has been doing”，表示一段时间以来一直从事的动作，强调连续不断，并有可能还会继续下去。
He has been working in the room for five hours.
他已经在房间里工作五个小时了。
(2)draw one's attention意为“________________”。若表达“吸引某人的注意力到……”，用draw one's attention to，其中to是介词，后面接名词、代词或动名词形式。
It's a special day to draw people's attention to the environment.
它是引起人们注意环境的特殊日子。
The teacher drew my attention to the blackboard.
老师把我的注意力吸引到黑板上。
