(一)概念
数词是表示数目和顺序的词。数词可分为基数词和序数词。
(二)构成
1. 1—12的基数词是独立的单词，有其各自的形式，即one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve。
2. 13—19的基数词以________结尾，单词的最后一个音节重读，如：thirteen, fourteen, fifteen。

(三)基数词的常见用法
1. hundred, thousand, million, billion与具体数字连用时，用原形；但当表示不确切数目时，要用其复数形式，且后面加介词________。如：

There must be hundreds of people at the station.
车站肯定有数百人。
2. 其他常见用法：
(1)“in one's＋整十的基数词的复数形式”表示“________________”。如：

(2)“in the＋年份的复数形式”表示“在……世纪……年代”。如：
