present sth.to sb.意为“把某物呈现给某人;将某物赠送给某人”。present的名词形式为presentation,意为“赠送仪式;介绍”。
eg:I presented my picture to you.

present还可作名词,发音为/'preznt/意为
“礼物;礼品”,相当于gift。
eg:I bought a birthday present for my daughter.

present作形容词,表示“出席的”,作后置定语。
表示“目前的,现存的”时,作前置定语。
