动词不定式的句法功能
To learn English is not easy for us.=It is not easy for us to learn English.对我们来说学英语不容易。
动词不定式作主语时,常转化为用it作形式主语,而把不定式放在后面。
My work is to clean the room every day.=To clean the room every day is my work.每天打扫房间是我的工作。
多数情况下,不定式作表语可转换为作主语。
—What sports does he like to play?
他喜欢做什么运动?
—He likes to play basketball.
他喜欢打篮球。
只能作某些动词的宾语,一般不作介词的宾语。
She asked me not to speak Chinese in English class.在英语课上她让我不要讲汉语。
在make,let,see,hear,watch 等使役、感官动词后,作宾补的不定式省略to。
Have you got anything to say?你有要说的吗?
不定式作定语,要放在被修饰词的后面。
I'm sorry to trouble you.(表原因)打扰你了,很抱歉。
I went to the library to study English.(表目的)我去图书馆学英语。
不定式作状语,其逻辑主语要和句子的主语一致。
注意(1)不定式通常有三种时态形式:一般式,进行式和完成式。但是不能作谓语。
(2)不定式的否定形式是在to的前面直接加not。
(3)不定式可以和疑问词who,which,what,when,how,where(why除外)等连用,构成不定式短语,在句子中作主语、宾语或表语等。
